* No quorum
* Kenton Calendars – Selling as a fundraiser for the Kenton Neighborhood Assoc. 10% of the proceeds will be donated to Friends of Trees.
* Officer Christensen –
o Armed Robber has hit some businesses such as Winchell’s Donuts and Dominos Pizza. He has been armed and appears to be a 50 yr old male. Call 9-1-1 if you think you have sighted him. More information can be found at North Portland On-Line. portlandonline\northportland
o Discussion on drug deals and drug issues in the area.
o Reports of Mail Theft and Check Fraud in the area.
*  Jeff Cogen – Candidate for Multnomah County Commissioner. Chief of Staff for Dan Saltzman. Previously worked for Bev Stein. Ran a small business in Multnomah County for 6 years. Believes County services that cover the neediest of our county and protections of the citizens is truly important. Talks about creative ways to address problems. Talks about efficient use of funds with the Children’s Fund and turning the city electric consumption into an opportunity to build a 75 million wind power plant in Eastern Oregon. This will serve to meet Portland environmental goals, building bridges to the rest of the state, providing a model for the rest of the world (as the first city in the world to do this), all the while keeping costs the same. * Kenton Business Association – Echo from the KBA reminds us of the deadline for O-DOT Community Enhancement grant which is this Friday 1/13. The KBA would like to look into using grant money to create a gateway to identify Kenton, directional signs for Kenton, a traffic circle to slow traffic and help drivers remember to stop, pedestrian signs pointing to areas of significance in the area, a Kiosk to bring attention to Kenton businesses, or more street trees or lighting. Money will not be available until approx. 2008. A decision will be made at the end of March.
* Tina Kotek – Running for State Rep of the Democratic Party makes a brief announcement.
* Jim Robison – Running for Democratic State Rep for House District 44 has a brief announcement made.
* O-DOT I-5 Configurations – Kate Dean presents information on the I-5 configurations again. The next hearing will be January 24, 2006 with an open house prior to it. Comments will be taken until February 10, 2006. A decision should be made by April and will need to be approved by the City Council.
